Mark Kidel’s documentary “The Juilliard Experiment” will have its first British screening at London’s Raindance Festival
at 12.30 pm on Saturday 1 October, Vue Cinema, Picadilly

The Juilliard Experiment will be presented at a private avant-premiere at the Juilliard School on May 10th, 2016, in the presence of the artist, Bruce Kovner, the Chairman of the Board, The Julliard School, Joseph Polis, the school’s President and the film’s director Mark Kidel.

The film is currently being submitted to a number of international festivals.  Screening dates will be posted on the site. The film-makers are also studying theatrical release and television distribution options for Europe and the USA.

From the December 2014/January 2015 edition of The Julliard Journal, an article entitled “Triptych Inspires Compositions –Verdier’s ‘Energy Fields’ as Muse”, features interviews with nine students composing for their specialty instruments from a work by the school’s first visual artist-in-residence.
